Our purpose
is to encourage all to make a decided effort to lift the cross of Jesus in their daily lives.  It is our goal to provide ideas and resources to help you “lift the cross” as an individual and as you gather with like-minded followers in groups.  Together we make a movement.  As we “lift” Jesus Christ and His cross work the world will be changed.

Cross Quotes

“Apart from the cross, there is no other ladder by which we may get to heaven.”
--St. Rose of Lima

“My captor walked up to me and with his sandal drew a cross in the dirt. Both prisoner and guard stood wordlessly there for a minute or two, venerating the cross, until the guard rubbed it out and walked away. This is my faith. The faith that unites and never divides, the faith that bridges unbridgeable gaps in humanity. This is my religious faith, and it is the faith I want my party to serve and the faith I hold in my country.”
--Senator John McCain

“The Gospel is good news of mercy to the undeserving. The symbol of the religion of Jesus is the cross, not the scales.”
--John R. W. Stott

“The heaviest end of the cross lies ever on His shoulders. If He bids us carry a burden, He carries it also.”
--Charles Haddon Spurgeon

“Where are the marks of the cross in your life? Are there any points of identification with your Lord? Alas, too many Christians wear medals but carry no scars.”
--Vance Havner

“There are no crown-wearers in heaven who were not cross-bearers here below.”
--Charles Haddon Spurgeon

“No pain, no palm; no thorns, no throne; no gall, no glory; no cross, no crown.”

--Colossians 1:20 (CEV)

“Jesus now has many lovers of His heavenly kingdom, but few bearers of His cross.”
--Thomas a Kempis

“Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
--Hebrews 12:2

“Most Christians are being crucified on a cross between two thieves: Yesterday’s regret and tomorrow’s worries.”
--Warren W. Wiersbe

“Christ did not send me to baptize. He sent me to tell the good news without using big words that would make the cross of Christ lose its power.”
--I Corinthians 1:17 (CEV)

“The blood of Jesus Christ has great power!…When He gave His life at the cross of Calvary…He bought us with His blood…the secret of our eternal salvation.”
--Corrie ten Boom

--1 Corinthians 1:18 (CEV)

“Only look to Jesus. He died for you, died in your place, died under the frowns of heaven, that we might die under its smile.”
--John Fletcher

“Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
--Philippians 2:8 (NASV)

“Jesus drew the false, sinful expectations of the world unto himself, absorbed them, and bore them on the cross.”
--Edwin Peterman

“Although He was weak when He was nailed to the cross, He now lives by the power of God. We are weak, just as Christ was. But you will see that we will live by the power of God, just as Christ does.”
--2 Corinthians 13:4 (CEV)

--Colossians 2:14 (CEV)

“Do you find yourselves forgetful of Jesus?…Some earthly business engrosses your attention when you should have your eye steadily fixed upon the cross. It is incessant round of world, world, world; the constant din of earth, earth, earth, that takes away the soul from Christ.”
--Charles Haddon Spurgeon

“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”
--1 Peter 2:24 (NASV)

“To glory in tribulation is no hard thing for him that loveth, for so to glory is to glory in the cross of the Lord.”
--Thomas a Kempis

“The way of the cross is the one leading to God.”
