POINT:

Love and fear are opposite ways to motivate. People follow God under both banners. The end result is much difference depending upon which banner we use. Fear is about judgment. There is no rest under fear as a motivator. Love casts out fear. John tells us that God is love. Love is part of the fruit of the Spirit that includes joy and peace.

ACTION:

I choose to accept John’s truth about God. I will believe that God is love and allow that to motivate my experience with Him. I will also allow it to motivate my experience with others around me.
