in their daily lives. It is our goal to provide ideas and resources to help
you “lift the cross” as an individual and as you gather with like-minded
followers in groups. Together we make a movement. As we “lift” Jesus
Christ and His cross work the world will be changed.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
E J JOHNSON
E.J. Johnson was born in 1926 in Oklahoma. He began playing guitar at the age of 4 years old when his father bought the first "family guitar". EJ was raised in a Christian home and attended church until he was old enough to be on his own. Shortly after, he left his home and the church and played in bars and professionally from place to place. He came to Oregon in 1948 and continued as a traveling musician in the northwest.
In February of 1983, EJ came back to the Lord and was born again. He then wanted to go back to church. When he did, he noticed that he did not hear many of the old gospel songs he knew as a boy. So, in order to preserve the songs he knew as boy, he began to record and arrange the old gospel music in the form of "Gospel Guitar".
Christine Jackson, owner of Heaven On Earth Restaurant met EJ Johnson when he visited the restaurant and gave her a tape of his music. Upon hearing this music, Chrisine immediately knew that it would be the music of Heaven On Earth and would be enjoyed by many.
Since that time, it has been played, shared and enjoyed at Heaven
On Earth. This collection of eight Gospel songs in guitar
arranged and recorded by EJ Johnson.

Heaven
On Earth Begain in 1974 as a small cafe' along I-5 in Oregon. With
only 10lbs of hamburger, sheer faith and determination, Christine
Jackson began her incredible journey to success. With an obscure
location, poor history of past businesses, and the run down building
itself (the roof leaked, only a woodstove for heat, and the restrooms
wer outhouses), odds for staying open were not in her favor.
However, despite these adversities, Christine managed to keep her restaurant open and eventually grow the business. It is because of her devote faith and love of Jesus is why she will tell you her business is so successful today.
Now, Heaven On Earth is widely recognized as one of the leading destination stops in Southern Oregon. It is noted for it's array of baked goods, home style cooking, "famous" huge cinnamon rolls, and award-winning apple butter.
